I opened up Serenity and Massage in the year 2000 as a principle massage therapist since then I have expanded my business and hired some of the best massage therapists on the Islands.

I remember massaging my mother's back for silver dollars as a child.  I always had a strong sense for business and a love for making people feel better.  I have been teaching some form of exercise for the past twenty years.  Since I moved here to Hawaii sixteen years ago, I have been teaching step aerobics, kickboxing, and cross training at the US Taekwando Center.  In college I was an assistant athletic trainer to our football team.  With a strong background in Anatomy and physiology and a passion for any kind of athletic activity available to me, I have learned to understand the body and it's mechanics exponentially.  I love focusing on Injury related clients and helping them not only to heal by my hands but help them understand ways to improve there health outside of our office.

Today, I am focusing on growing our wonderful business and helping my staff grow with me.  Our goal is to help you on your way to living a healthier, happier, and stress free life!

Aloha for your support, Sandy

I have been a licensed massage therapist since graduating from school in 2002, and prior to moving to Hawaii in 2007 I practiced in Seattle for four years.  My goal in working with clients is to tailor each session to meet their specific needs.  I like to combine modalities to provide the best possible therapeutic massage, focusing on specific areas of concern as well as providing a relaxing environment for the body to begin to heal itself.  I really love the sense of helping others that comes along with being a massage therapist, knowing that I have used the knowledge I gained in school and my experience over the years of practice to work with the body to promote health, wellness, and self-healing.  I have studied Reflexology, Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi, Swedish, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Pre-Natal and injury treatment techniques, and love to combine them all together for the most effective treatment for the client.  I have many returning clients who have found my treatments to provide them the pain relief they are seeking as well as a profound sense of relaxation and healing.  I am happy to say that i enjoy doing massage even more now that I did when I first left school, I love the look of peace and relaxation on a clients face when they are finished with their treatment.  My specialty and one of my favorite areas to work on is shoulder, neck and head, maybe because this is where I carry most of my stress and I can identify with the client...whether it be major tension and pain or simply a relaxation treatment, my focused technique and knowledge of this area are sure to provide relief, and begin the healing process!

Jen completed her training at the BodyMind Academy in Washington state, and is a nationally certified therapist.

In these modern times, our bodies face a lot of repetitive physical demands whether for purposeful athletic goals, performance art, postures at work, or habits from our daily routines. Many times these actions can lead to chronic pain or recurring injuries. With massage, I enjoy being able to assist clients in managing their unique fluctuations, both in wellness & in injury. I take an active role to help unwind tensions & allow greater freedom of movement. I have a strong base of training utilizing Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myo-fascial Release & Sports Massage. I frequently incorporate stretches from Thai Yoga Massage as well as assisted yoga poses. I thrive on learning new techniques that may be helpful to people. I feel very honored when I have the chance to work with clients on a regular basis. I have great respect for the human spirit as I progress with & learn from my clients through various adversities & triumphs. Namaste!

With Aloha, Jen

After graduating High school in 1998, I went straight to massage school and got my license. I always enjoy massaging people and seeing the difference I can make in the way they feel after each session. It is a great thing to help someone whether it be to relax or alleviate aching muscles. I am so happy in the career that I chose and I hope that I can make a difference to each and every client that I meet.

Born and raised in Hawaii Kai, I first experienced Serenity and Massage as a client. Now
as a mom with children, helping with my husband’s growing business and life in general,
things became a little hectic. That’s when I discovered that massage was my way to relax,
relieve stress and simply get grounded. I liked how I felt after massage and this ignited
my mission to become licensed.

How can one go wrong making someone feel good?

I trained in Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue and Clinical Massage. Each massage is
tailored for an individual’s specific needs.

I have been very excited with the career change and look forward to working with you.

Aloha!  I have lived in Hawaii since 2002.  I have always been into healing work, but may father getting cancer was what really pushed me into massage therapy.  I am originally an editor and writer, but once I started to learn Reflexology my fascination grew into massage therapy.  Luckily, I had the change to help open a Reflexology salon and create a spa in Sapporo, Japan.  What I visited Hawaii, I experienced Hot Stone and Lomi-Lomi massage.  These experiences were what made me come to Hawaii.  I learned Lomi-Lomi massage from Kumulomi Dane Kaohelani Silva on the Big Island of Hawaii, and then graduated from Hawaii College of Health Sciences in 2003.  I really enjoy giving massage to people who truly have and spread aloha.  I truly appreciate all of our clients who have this aloha spirit, and I appreciate working with all of you.  I hope to see you very soon at Serenity & Massage!
